Chapter 14 – Oscillations
Chapter 14 – Oscillations explains periodic motion where an object moves to and fro about its mean position. It introduces Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM) and important terms such as amplitude, time period, frequency, phase, and angular frequency.
The chapter also discusses the motion of a spring–mass system and a simple pendulum, along with equations of SHM and energy changes during oscillation. Concepts like displacement, velocity, acceleration relations, and graphical representation of SHM are covered. This chapter is highly important for CBSE board exams as well as competitive exams like NEET and JEE.
